TCDXA MEETING MINUTES

Old Business:  Bill, WØOR presented information gathered by Jay, KØQB about the options for TCDXA to apply for Tax Exempt status per section 501(c)(3) of the Tax Code. Several members voiced opinions and asked question about tax exempt organization status vs. status as a foundation. Further discussions were shelved until the December meeting when Jay can elaborate on his findings, as he was unable to attend tonights meeting.

New Business:  Bill, WØOR discussed the upcoming Dxpedition/contest venture by TCDXA club members to Bolivia for the CQWW CW contest. They will be operating as CP6CW during the contest. Bob, WØBV talked about his long time aquaintance Ray Rising, and his assistance in making arrangements for our members to use the Club station in Santa Cruz. Ray has spent many years providing humanitarian aid to the Bolivian people, and TCDXA members voted to donate $250 to the club station for it's use and to help in the purchase of 2 meter HT's for their usage.

Mike, KØBUD had tickets for the upcoming hamfest this weekend.

1^st Place raffle prize went to KØSQ, Chuck for the free dinner, and 2^nd place went to NØAT, Ron (cash). The raffle collected a total of $73 with $20 dollars going for the free dinner, $25 for the cash prize, and the remaining $28 of the raffle money going to the club treasury.
