CALL TO ORDER:

ATTENDANCE:

 

25 Members

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

An earlier donation of $150 to ZS8T, Marion Island, was returned.  The much heralded activity from the rare entity by Petrus, ZS6GCM, was almost non-existent. 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Scott, KØMD, gave us an update on WØDXCC 2009.  Early registrations for the July 18th event are coming in, but not in the numbers organizers would like to see.

A direct mailing is planned to increase awareness and attendance.  Visit the website

Jim, KØJUH spoke briefly on presenting the Youz A Good Guy award to Ralph, KØIR, and Glenn, WØGJ, for their outstanding contributions to amateur radio and DXing. 

 

Frank, N1UW, became a member (#116) and was welcomed to the club.

 

Dick, WØTRF, a TCDXA charter member, was in attendance, and was recognized by our President. 

 

This is the last meeting (June) before the summer break.  We take July and August off.  See you at the next meeting on September 21st.

PROGRAM:

 

A52PC – The Trip of a Life time.

Pat, WØBM, presented a slide show on his trip to Bhutan back in 2001.  He supported the photos with details about the country and its people along with a look at amateur radio from this rare entity.  Along with Pat on the trip were two other members; Glenn, WØGJ, and Steve, WØHT.  Thanks Pat for making the trip up from Rochester to do the program.  Youz A Good Guy.  J
