TCDXA MEETING MINUTES March 16, 2009 CALL TO ORDER: 16Mar09 at 6:50 pm ATTENDANCE: 52 members, 4 guests (Wow
– what a turn out!) OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: A special welcome and introduction was extended to
the out-state members from Members were brought up-to-date on the 501 (c) (3)
designation and how it will benefit the club and members. Yes, the annual membership dues are
deductible. The meeting handout covering deductions in detail
will be sent to all members. The KH4M proposed donation amount of $250 was
discussed. This amount buys us a
listing (no logo) on the QSL card. $500
gets us the same thing. It would take
$750 to get our logo listed and our donation policy and BOD’s
said no thank you! The newsletter staff was recognized for their work
on the Grayline report. KØIEA for his writing and proof reading skills
and WØBV for his expertise in laying out the newsletter and producing a very
professional looking product. Welcome new members.
Mark, WAØMHJ, Terry, WØVB, Randall, KF3DR HEALTH & WELFARE: Dennis, KØEOO, after spending a few days in the
hospital with a bowel obstruction, is back home and on the road to a full
recovery. TREASURERS REPORT: Income: $3609.61 Expenses: $(119.30 ) Balance:
$3532.31 PROGRAM: K5D, A perfect evening spent with friends enjoying good
food and conversation was capped off by Glenn and Ralph when they took the
members on a tour of Desecheo and the K5D
operation. Glenn’s slides and his special
style presenting the story, always produce a great program! DOOR PRIZE WINNERS: KCØRET - $20,
